The Beginning of a Dream
Karen’s Designs was established in 1999 with a vision of offering an exceptional beauty experience that extends beyond the exterior. Beauty may begin in the eye of the beholder, yet I believe that True Beauty Begins Inside 1 Peter 3:4. My commitment has always been to offer professionalism and kindness to those around while speaking truth in love and embracing one’s unique beauty for, We are God’s Masterpiece Ephesians 2:10. My goal is to support and encourage self-confidence within the community in the search of True Beauty, untainted by vanity, insecurity, or judgement.
As owner of Karen’s Designs my career began in 1981, as I obtained my Cosmetology license while attending Aldine High School. I never expected at sixteen years old to find a lifelong
career; forty-two years later I am proud to say my love and passion for the beauty field has never faded. Throughout my career I have attended advanced training courses as well as I was
an official educator of a large company’s permanent wave training course. Being blessed with a career over four decades has given me the opportunity to see how hair styles, trends as well as
techniques have changed over time; from vintage and retro to modern and contemporary.

Through communication, creativity and understanding clients are always treated as individuals, with their own unique styles that compliment who they are. With dedication and commitment toward excellence she always provides quality work.
